It's our donation based Community Day! This time we have two special classes and a special guest from Tampa, FL!

2pm: To warm up, we have a special Soukous class with our director, Christa «Fatou» Sylla. Soukous is widely popular throughout Western and Central Africa and known for its fun upbeat music and hip gyrating movements.

3pm- Intro to Orisha Dance with special guest Osunguaide Olafemi. Come and hear tales of the Orisha and what they mean in the lives of devotees; how the Orisha traveled with African descendants through slavery from West Africa to Cuba and the U.S.; learn corresponding movements to represent the personalities of each Orisha while dancing to corresponding rhythms.

As usual our Community Day is donation based, so bring the family. All ages and dance levels welcome. The minimum suggested donation is $10. You may pre-register by sending a payment to our CASH app $NanNkama with a note, or in cash at the door. Due to space concerns, Pre-registration is required.

See you on the dance floor!
