Cooling and Calming the summer heat of pita. Pita is one of the Dosha's in Ayruvedic medicine. They create the physical body, determine growth, health aging and disease. Our workshop will begin with a simple quiz that will determine your Dosha.
Judy will lead the group in a deep yoga nidra practice.
Followed by instruction in cooling, breathing techniques that will help expel heat within the body.
Kim will guide the students into yummy postures with clear instruction of how to use all of our props. Students will gain knowledge on how to properly use bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks and rice bags.
Student will be treated to two fabulous hours of self care.
Cool cloths with essential oils as well as Ayruvedic tea compresses will cool and calm the bodies nervous system, lower the body temperature, tune and calm the mind.
Our workshop will wrap up with a mediation practice that will offer mantra directly inline with the summer solstice that will have occurred on June 21st. This is a special meditation relating to the longest days of the year filled with the longest hours of sunlight where the sun has reached its highest altitude of the year.
No experience needed, all levels welcome.
